Puppies for Sale
I normally never deliver puppies; buyers either drive here or pups are flown out of Elko, NV to connecting flights in Salt Lake City, UT. In some circumstances I can meet buyers in Reno if I happen to be going that way, or if there are several puppies going in that general direction (California, Oregon). I have done that in the past where seven pups were sold to Oregon homes, and we all met in Reno to make it less of a drive for the buyers. On one special occasion I also drove to Billings, MT for a delivery of multiple dogs. Otherwise, plan on coming to my ranch which is located 10 miles south of Winnemucca. It is all paved road and Winnemucca is located on Interstate 80, two and a half hours East of Reno. There are many good affordable motels in Winnemucca should you decide to overnight here, and excellent regional Basque cuisine at two famous restaurants, The Martin Hotel and Ormachea’s.
When the pups are born, I begin asking for deposits. 1/2 down holds a pup. Deposits are not returned if buyer backs out of a sale when pup is ready to leave. Pups must be picked up before they reach 11 weeks of age. After that the price goes up on the pups to cover feed, extra shots, dewormings and time I invest in starting them on livestock. Since the pup needs to learn who you and your stock are, I strongly urge people to pick them up between 8-10 weeks of age for the maximum amount of bonding time with you and the pup. Pursuant to state law and regulations, NO pup may leave here before 8 weeks of age and I strongly adhere to that. So once pups are born, get a calendar and count the weeks and make plans to pick up your pup once it’s past 8 weeks of age. I don’t suffer procrastinators and if you continually put off getting your puppy, I will return your deposit and let someone else have it.
I give STRONG preference to working homes in the WESTERN UNITED STATES.
I do not temperament test or have show ring judges do any type of ‘assessment’. If you want a show dog that poses as a working dog, then please go to another breeder. My dogs are sound and healthy and bred to work, not win ribbons. I spend a lot of time getting them bonded to livestock and being immersed in the pack and learning the ropes from older dogs. You will not see a long list of show wins or ‘puppy evaluation‘ reports on this website. Again, if you are into that, please buy from someone else.
Before anyone buys a puppy from me this is what I need to know. Anyone refusing to give me this information is not considered for a puppy, period.

Planned Summer/Fall/Winter 2012 Litters
As bitches are bred, I will post updates on this page. I have planned several purebred and crossbred litters:
LGD crosses - KANGAL/ANATOLIAN/MAREMMA: Elmas x Pak will be repeated for July 17/18 2012 litter. 1/2 Kangal, 1/4 Anatolian, 1/4 Maremma. Proven cross, excellent references, these beautiful pups are guarding cattle, sheep, goats, horses and poultry all over the United States. $600. Includes $50 gift certificate for a custom made LGD protective collar from Coban Collars. $300 deposit holds pup. This litter always sells out or books up quickly. I'm sorry but there will be NO shipping available for these pups. I prefer these pups go to homes with large predator loads and experienced LGD owners only. If you are a conservationist group working with ranchers to place LGDs in wolf country to guard sheep, cattle or goats, I will work with you on pricing on multiple pup purchases on this litter. Please contact me. See my LGD Crosses page, for photos of these pups and parents and more information.
Spanish Mastiffs - Patron & Xanto both will be crossed on Ibra, Zzeleste, Zaca & Pia; tentatively the first cross should be Patron x Ibra as both have had their hips cleared of HD
Pyrenean Mastiffs - Repeat of the Troy x Sally cross
I have a long list of people who have indicated interest in pups and who have been waiting for along time for a certain breed, and very often I have way more people than puppies in a litter. I will select the homes I feel would be best for the pups. The way I select the homes is by considering your situation, experience, set up and the answers to the questions above you give me. So please answer the questions so I can best determine what breed is best for your situation and the number of dogs you probably should be running. I will not sell just one pup to someone who really should be buying three due to their heavy predator load.
