Cinco Deseos Ranch Livestock Guardian Dogs

My philosophy is simple:

Run the right kind of dogs in the right numbers along with attentive, compassionate and responsible stockmanship and shepherding, for successful livestock protection.

A well-bred LGD that is healthy, properly handled and socialized, bonded to livestock and born from working parent stock with strong guarding instinct,
coupled with your active presence and hands-on shepherding can effectively deter predators and decrease if not eradicate your stock losses.
I feel the best livestock protection results come to those who will work as a team with their LGD's in the tradition of ancient Old World stockmen.
I believe balanced co-habitation with predators can be met, with hard work and commitment on the part of the stockman and LGD owner.
I am a proponent of the use of LGD's for non-lethal predator control, but also recognize that when predators reach critical numbers that negatively
impact the livelihood of ranchers, that steps should be taken to curtail their numbers to a more manageable load for the respective area, and
that management is best left to the ranchers and farmers who populate the area, not government bureaucrats sitting at desks.

My dogs are highly adept at non-lethal predator control for ranches and farms.  I have selected breeds that appealed to me for a variety of reasons.
I also use and raise crossbred LGD's and offer a variety of types, sizes and temperaments for the stockman to consider adding to his program of livestock protection.
In the late 1970's on a horse ranch in Idaho I was able to meet and spend a week working with and learning from the renowned horse trainer Tom Dorrance.
His way and philosophy with horses stuck with me for the remainder of my life, and I practice and use those same methods raising and running my LGD's.

Cinco Deseos Ranch LGD's can be found in Nevada, California, Idaho, Oregon, Montana, Texas, Pennsylvania, Nebraska and in Canadian provinces.
I back my dogs 100% with health guarantees.  Excellent references from satisfied owners are always available.
